Mecca, Saudi Arabia to build largest hotel in world
10,000 bedrooms, five floors for Royalty, four helipads and luxury unlike any other, all of this is promised at the Abraj Kudai in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
As the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative promises to turn Saudi Arabia into a haven for tourism and architecture alike, the Abraj Kudai is set to become one of the largest hotels in the world, outshining the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The estimated project cost is US$3.5 billion, and will cover approximately 1.4 million square metres.
The project will involve the latest in both luxuries and security technology to ensure vacationers and pilgrims staying in the hotel are being treated to the highest level of care.
According to Arabian Business, 10 of the towers will provide four-star accommodations, while the other two towers will be reserved for special clientele offering five-star amenities.
The top of the hotel is to contain a 10-storey podium, which houses a bus station, shopping mall, food courts, conference centre and a lavishly appointed ballroom.
All require a unified physical and digital security system, alongside state-of-the-art innovative interfaces that allow these different security environments to effectively work with each other.
The hotel will be one of many large-scale builds as part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, with others involving NEOM, The Diriyah Gate Development Authority, Murabba, Qiriyah, Roshn and more.
